(Paoli, PA, October 2008) – The Paoli Hospital Foundation recently appointed Sandra K. Baldino of West Chester to its Board of Trustees. In this role, she will assist with the Foundation’s fundraising efforts and provide input to the Board on community needs.
“Sandra’s professional experience, combined with her exceptional knowledge of fundraising will serve the Paoli Hospital Foundation well,” said Barbara Tachovsky, President, Paoli Hospital. “She will be a most welcome addition to our Foundation Board of Trustees.”
After graduating from Immaculata University, Baldino began a career in corporate communications at Cephalon, Inc., a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Frazer. She went on to earn a master's degree in business administration from Drexel University and continued her career in communications at BioAdvance, a life science firm located in Philadelphia, and as a consultant with Pennsylvania Bio, the statewide life sciences association headquartered in Malvern.
Baldino enjoys spending time traveling with her husband and son, and being involved in various non-profit organizations including Community Volunteers in Medicine (CVIM), The Please Touch Museum, The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and the Chester County Historical Society. She also served on several committees for The Academy of Music and The Franklin Institute.
Established in 1985, the Paoli Hospital Foundation is responsible for all fundraising for Paoli Hospital’s programs and services. Its staff work in close partnership with members of the community to secure private funding essential to the Hospital’s mission. With a $16.5 million expansion campaign, Building Paoli Hospital. One story at a time. in progress,the Foundation is actively fundraising to ensure a successful campaign, funding a portion of the Hospital’s new Patient Care Pavilion set to open this summer.
